Is there a cutoff switch on this model?

Most likely but it doesn't do anything important. Why do you ask?

A friend of mine was on a vacation trip. His car stalled after driving over a dump in the road. He got it towed to a garage and they said his fuel pump was not running. No voltage at the pump.

I asked him if they had looked for the inertia switch, but it did not sound like they knew what it was.

They had begun chasing the wires for opens.....

So I told him I would try to look up were it could be located.

My fault, I thought you were talking about the oil pressure switch that has a fuel pump bypass switch in it.
GM does not use inertia switches, my fault.

Is it just me, or is there no way this circuit would work as drawn?

LOL GM fuel pumps always had the circuit wired as a constant ground for the coil tot he relay and positive from the pcm for the control wire. Looks like they goofed on that diagram.

Wow, I had to stare at that diagram for WAY too long before I picked up on the mistake in the diagram, lol.

I had to do a double take. My first impulse was that I was wrong!
