I have an issue on one of our vehicles, a 2018 MB GLS 350d with the low range option pack (transfer case with low gears).
Since changing the main battery there are two recurring errors on the central display : a 'differential error' and a 'low range error'. The system does not react to the selector button.
However, the diagnostic scanner(s), most elaborate of which the iCarSoft CR Max, is not showing any fault codes.
Is this a common issue with diagnostic equipment or would it be a specific shortcoming with the iCarSoft range ? We're about to invest in a new tool anyway and I would not want to add insult to injury by buying a tool that is not able to access all systems.
We mainly run Benz, but this will change in the somewhat near future.
