2013 Hyundai Veloster 1.6, Dual clutch transmission
Hi guys, I’m super stumped here. This vehicle has been to the dealer and a transmission shop, and looked at by multiple techs with no fix.
Seemingly randomly the transmission will go into limp mode. While driving it will lock itself into 4th gear with the second clutch engaged, until you shift out of drive. Then it goes into neutral and disengages both clutches so you can’t drive at all until you shut the key off for a while and come back, drives normally again.
I don’t see anything I scan data that should cause it to do that. Also if there was a logical reason for the computer to put it in limp mode, I would think there would be a code set, I could be wrong though.
My current though process is maybe a software issue with the module but since the dealer has looked at it already I would think that’s something they would check for.
If anyone has any input or experience with this issue it would be a huge help
