The test revealed that PIN 3 has a fault and it will flash a yellow error light. Checking my wiring diagrams for this car and PIN 3 is not used. But some online schematics show that pin 3 might be used as per mfg preference. Does any one know the real story? I've tried the tool on Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, and it worked as it should. Hey moggie4312! Doing some research, grabbed the network diagram for this Sonata:
This indicates that pin 3 IS used, along with pin 11 for the vehicles CAN network. Does the light for pin 11 on the CanDo BOB illuminate as well?
I'm not certain how the CanDo model works, but I do know that the AESWave LineSPI uses yellow LED's on some of the network pins to indicate activity. Is it possible that the light behavior you're seeing is normal? Tried to find a manual for the CanDo online, no luck.

My Mitchell wiring diagrams are incorrect. The Hyundai Sonata information and parts listings can change with even the month mfg date. Thanks very much for obtaining the information on this data connector.

Man, I HOPE it's correct. That's the only option BBB Industries gave, but they've lied to me before.
I'll try and find the manual and send you some info. The flashing yellow LED on pin 3 indicates an error in that circuit.
Cool, let me know what you find! I'm happy to see you posting about this BOB, 'cause I've been interested in buying one.
