Hi guyz. I'm new in this field of scope diagossis and I have some question marks. Using the 2205a scope with the x1 and x10 buildin attenuator gves me a correct square wave.
Insterting this Hantek HT-201 attenuator and probe set on x1, the square wave is not displayed correctly any more and the probe frequency compensation knob has no effect.
With the hantek attenuator and the probe set on x10, the square wave edges looks good, it's noisy, and the frequency compensation knob works... i can compensate!
Is this hantek attenuator a piece of c**p?

I'm sorry if I misspelled the words, english is not my native language.

The attenuator is basically a voltage devider basically any correction you do on the input side of the attenuator has little effect. the
The 2205a is a good bit of kit but it is not a fast scope with 8 bit resolution and with an attenuator you are pushing it and are always going to see the limitations and noise.
