I have seem to have a issue picking up a good waveform on a 4 wire coil over plug. I have tried all 4 coils on the car and can not get a good pick up on any. I have used Joe's auto electric both wand and the place on the coil pick up. Am I missing something?

Unfortunately, some coils are too well insulated to use an inductive secondary probe. Especially in the Asian market.
The solution to this is to remove the coil and install an HT Extension wire between the coil and the spark plug. You can, then, use an inductive secondary probe around the extension wire.

If the coil is a 2-wire coil, you can capture a Primary Voltage waveform from the coil wire, instead.
