Hello I was trying to see if anybody had any input on a preferable temp. When doing a exhaust back pressure test to get best results. I wouldn't think it would matter if the engine was cold or hot but just was wanting to see what the general consensus was

If it is blocked it is blocked and won't care about the temperature.
Most times if you are doing it at the O2 sensor you don't even need to put a gauge on it you will feel difference as soo as you remove the sensor.

I agree with Andy, temperature shouldn't effect the results. However, it's usually best to test for any fault under the conditions that the fault presents itself. So if it runs poorly hot, I'll check it when it's hot
