Ford obd1 to obd2 connector was created by radmilakrejci1
UPDATE! After doing more research, i found the adapter I bought at amazon, similar sells at Ebay (see the pic) is not working on all obd1 ford vehicles. Ebay says it doesn't work on ford trucks/pick ups. I haven't pulled the the wiring diagram for 94 lincolntown Paul is using in his video, but I bet $100 that pin for fuel pump and MIL diagnostics are switched from ford trucks/pickups and thats why it is not working on trucks/pickups and istead is turning your fuel pump. I am going to keep my amazon adapter for testing non truck obd1 ford vehicles though
Looking for Ford obd1 to obd2 connector. Have bought cheap one at amazon to find out 16 pin obd2 has 2 pins switched, and instead of communicating with pcm to retrive codes/live data, it energizes your fuel pump relay and runs your fuel pump. I know Paul have used it at the video to diagnose EGR problem on 1994 lincoln town. This is the adapter i have in mind see the picture and this is link to Paul's video testing where he is using it to see evr DC, evp voltage while energizing EGR.

The one extra pin that is outside of the trapezoid shaped connector is for you to apply power to the fuel pump to test that circuit.
You just don't plug that one in if you don't want to power up the fuel pump circuit from what I recall.
Even then, I have never been able to view data using that connector on any pre OBD2 Ford.
You can run KOEO or KOER output tests and retrieve two digit trouble codes. That's it, no live data.

thanks Noah, it is possible to have life data on ford obd1 with this adapter cable I am looking for. Go back to my edited post where I put link to Paul's video and picture of the adapter.

I am honestly surprised to see this. I have had multiple 90s Fords and there was no data available at all.
Maybe the Towncar as a flagship vehicle was early to get it in on live data, but my 94 explorer had none and the same goes for f150s I've worked on in the past.
It may be that 94 was the introduction of the 4.6l DOHC V8. I may be wrong, but I think that may not use the previous generation EECIV engine control module. Maybe the lack of data from my first generation Explorer and my Fox Body Mustang are limitations of the EECV and EECIV generation of computers.
