I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum.

I have a pneumatic impact that is rated at 1,000 ft./lbs. if I remember correctly.  But I have a gift card, batteries, and this is on sale.  I'm thinking this will suffice for most repairs and I won't end up in the ER after tripping over a hose.  :)  Does anyone have one of these or think that 300 ft/lbs of torque is not enough to be useful?  (I've never had a DeWalt tool before.  I have batteries for another brand and a converter that will handle DeWalt.)

My coworker has 2 DeWalt 1/2” impact guns. They both are bigger than that one, so I'm not positive how it will perform, but based on the performance of the guns he owns I would definitely buy that gun at that price.

I did buy it and it seems like a decent enough unit, at least if you can live with the way the sockets 'snap' on.

My biggest gripe about cordless tools are lithium ion batteries. They self discharge while sitting on a shelf and it isn't cheap to keep buying batteries. My goal is to have one set of batteries that I use often enough to have them ready when I need them and converters that let me use them in everything. I started with Black and Decker (can't live without their Alligator) batteries and I have converters that let me use them on Bauer and now Dewalt.
